Queen’s Brian May has revealed that he recently suffered a “minor stroke.” He made the revelation in a video posted to YouTube and Instagram.

The 77-year-old music legend said he suffered the stroke around a week ago, leaving his left arm paralyzed.

However, May said he has recovered in the meantime, regaining enough movement so that he is now able to play music.

“Good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days and I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago,” May said.
“It was a minor stroke and all of a sudden, out of the blue, I didn’t have any control over this arm. So was a little scary.”

“I have to say I had the most fantastic care and attention from Frimley Hospital where I went, blue lights flashing… the lot. Very exciting,” he added, in an apparent reference to him being taken to a hospital in Surrey, England, aboard an ambulance.

The Queen guitarist survived a heart attack in May 2020 after he tore his gluteus maximus muscles.

In the video, May also spoke about his new documentary, Brian May: The Badgers, The Farmers and Me.

“There are plenty of bombshells in the documentary and plenty of great new insights which, when the dust settles, will give farmers new ammunition in their personal fight against bovine TB,” he said.
