BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN DENIES RUMORS OF FAREWELL TOUR

Bruce Springsteen Denies Rumors Of Farewell Tour

Iconic rocker Bruce Springsteen has denied rumors of plans to hang up his guitar anytime soon.

During his August 23 performance at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Springsteen said that the rumors of his retirement were not true.

“We’ve been around for 50 years, and we ain’t quitting!” Springsteen told fans during the show. “We ain’t doing no farewell tour! No farewell tour for the E Street Band!”

He continued, “Farewell to what? A thousand people screaming your name? I ain’t going anywhere!”

Springsteen made the statement in response to ongoing speculation about Springsteen and the E Street Band’s current tour being a farewell tour.

In late July, his guitarist Steven Van Zandt teased more shows for the E Street Band, saying, “I don’t see the end anywhere in sight, to be honest, especially in Europe, where we’re bigger than we’ve ever been. I think we can play every summer for evermore, man.”

“I love that the Stones are still out there. Because as long as they’re out there, man, we’re still the new kids on the block, right? So I’m good with that,” Van Zandt added.
