Former Rolling Stones Bassist Bill Wyman Announces New Album ‘Drive My Car’

Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has announced he will release a new album, Drive My Car, on August 9.

Wyman is releasing his ninth solo album at age 87.

The 10-track album will have two bonus tracks on the CD, vinyl LP and digital editions.

It is available to pre-ordered now at https://lnk.to/DriveMyCarPR

“It’s not something I do every day, but sometimes I just see a guitar in the corner of the room, pick it up to play around and then something clicks into place,” Wyman said in a press release.

“The biggest influence on the album as a whole is J.J. Cale, his laidback groove has always appealed to me,” he noted.

Wyman also shared the album’s title track. Its animated video can be viewed at Wyman’s YouTube channel.

Wyman’s last studio album was released nine years ago, Back to Basics.
