SIGOURNEY – North Mahaska took to the links at Sigourney Golf Club Monday in a South Iowa Cedar League quadrangular. Keota edged host Sigourney by three strokes to win the meet with a score of 161. Sigourney scored 164 followed by Montezuma with a 174 and North Mahaska 191.

Montezuma’s Max Anderson shot a 1-under par 34 for medalist honors and Sigourney’s Solon Yates was runnerup with a 37.

Jaxon VanDerVeer paced North Mahaska with a 44 followed by Nolan Andersen with a 49. Jack Kelderman carded a 51 and Maddox Wynja scored a 47. Also playing but not figuring into the team score was Jeremiah Ashman with a 55 and Jacob Held with a 60.

North Mahaska will be in action again on Monday when they host Lynnville-Sully, Montezuma, Colfax-Mingo, HLV and BGM at Prairie Knolls. Meet time is 1 p.m.
