MONTEZUMA – North Mahaska scored 20 top four finishes including six first places en route to winning the Lew Lundy Relays at Montezuma Tuesday. The Warhawks scored 143 points to easily outdistance second place Baxter, who had 111.
Aly Steil picked up two of the wins taking the 800 meters in 2 minutes 43.19 seconds and the 400 meters in 1:09.42. Her teammate Kayla Readshaw was second in the 400 in 1:09.49. Breckyn Schilling added a win in the 400 hurdles in 1:21.17. Emmerson Jedlicka took the 3,000 meters in 12:46.36 and earned third in the 1,500 in 5:55.0. The final individual win was in the shot put when Sydney Andersen had a throw of 33-feet 3-inches. Regan Grewe was third in the event with a throw of 32-6. Jayden Hiner added a second on the high jump with a leap of 4-6.
North Mahaska won the 1,600-meter relay with a run of 4:44.28. No runners were listed as of press time. The Warhawks ran second in the 800 relay in 2:04.18 and 2:06.3 in the sprint medley relay.
Hannah Wernli ran third in the 100 hurdles in 18.19. The shuttle hurdle relay team and 3,200-meter relay teams also took third.
