The Iowa Democratic Caucuses are set for a face lift in 2024, but it remains to be determined whether the Democratic National Committee will be changing their lineup. On Friday, the Rules and Bylaws committee met for the first time since hearing from 17 different states and their proposals to earn early spots in the lineup, with Iowa among those states. The current lineup of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina has been the subject of criticism by some democratic officials for reasons including diversity and the requirement of in-person attendance on a Tuesday, the latter point resulting in state democratic officials proposing changes to their caucusing system to include voting by mail. Ultimately, the committee is set to make its decision on the early state lineup early next month.
