A trip to the UNI-Dome is on the line Friday night (11/5) as Sigourney-Keota travels to Dike-New Hartford in the Class 1A football quarterfinals. Both teams are 10-0 on the season and Sigourney-Keota Coach Jared Jensen says that’s not the only way the two teams are alike.
“I just see a lot of similarities between the two teams. Just physical, smash mouth, we’re going to eat the clock and try to keep your possessions limited and score when we do have that opportunity. Every game it seems like their opponent is in the game in the first half and then they take over in the second half and that’s similar to what we do.”
The Cobras are ranked third in Class 1A by Associated Press and fifth by Radio Iowa. Dike-New Hartford is ranked fifth by AP and fourth by Radio Iowa. You can hear Sigourney-Keota football Friday night on KMZN AM & FM. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 with the kickoff at 7.
