Keaton Flaherty threw four touchdown passes and Waylon Bolibaugh returned a punt for a touchdown as Oskaloosa defeated Keokuk 49-7 Friday night (9/17) in Keokuk. That gives the Indians a 4-0 record going into district play. The Indians compiled 364 yards of total offense to 174 for Keokuk. Osky’s defense also held the Chiefs to just two of 12 on third down conversions and 0 for three on fourth down. Oskaloosa begins district play this coming Friday night (9/24) at Clear Creek-Amana. Sigourney-Keota also improved to 4-0 Friday as the Cobras won their homecoming game over Pleasantville 42-0. Cade Molyneux ran for 207 yards and three touchdowns for the Cobras, while Colten Clarahan passed for one score and ran for another. William Penn’s football team was also in action Friday night…they lost to Evangel 28-14 in Nixa, Missouri. Ben Sherman and Rodney Hall rushed for William Penn touchdowns as the Statesmen fall to 1-3 on the season. The Statesmen have their homecoming this Saturday (9/25), when they take on Missouri Valley.
