Sean Ono Lennon interviewed Paul McCartney for an upcoming BBC radio special that will be broadcast next month, ahead of what would have been John Lennon’s 80th birthday.
In the interview titled “John Lennon at 80,” Lennon’s son speaks to McCartney about his relationship with his Beatles bandmate.
“I look back on it now like a fan. How lucky was I to meet this strange Teddy Boy off the bus, who played music like I did and we get together and boy, we complemented each other,” McCartney saidof meeting Lennon.
“We’re thrilled and honored that Sean’s first-ever radio program in which he talks at length about his father, alongside his brother Julian, Paul McCartney and Elton John, will be broadcast on our network,” said Helen Thomas, BBC Radio 2 head of station.
The one-hour long two-part radio show will be broadcast on October 3 and 4 at 4 p.m. EST on BBC Radio 2.
Sean Ono Lennon, who is John Lennon’s youngest son, also interviews Elton John and his half-brother Julian in the radio show.
