Sigourney-Keota’s 27-21 win over Mid-Prairie last Friday (9/28) was due in large part to senior Brady Duwa. He returned the second half kickoff for a touchdown, then late in the game, intercepted a pass to clinch the victory. Cobras Coach Jared Jensen talks about Duwa.
“He does it all for us. I mean, offensively he’s a great guy on offense. Defensively, he’s the quarterback of the defense, plays our free safety position. Punts for us; returns for us. He was a big part of the win the other night. Mid-Prairie was driving late and it was one of those things where he was just in the right spot at the right time, went up and made the play over the other kid and finished the game.”
Sigourney-Keota plays its home opener Friday night (9/4) against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. You can hear the game on KBOE-FM with the play-by-play starting at 7.
