A brand-new 4-CD box set will feature live performances from some of Cream’s most iconic shows, including their farewell performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on November 26, 1969.
Including 36 tracks, of which 19 are previously unreleased, the box set includes live recordings of the band’s performances at the Oakland Coliseum, Los Angeles Forum and San Diego Sports Arena in November of 1968.
“Cream was a shambling circus of diverse personalities who happened to find that catalyst together,” shared guitarist Eric Clapton in a recent press release. “Any one of us could have played unaccompanied for a good length of time.”
He added, “So you put the three of us together in front of an audience willing to dig it limitlessly, we could have gone on forever…and we did…just going for the moon every time we played.”
The collection will also include a 12×12 art print free for initial pre-orders.
Dubbed Cream’s Goodbye Tour – Live 1968, the box set will be out on February 7, 2020 and is available for pre-order now.
