Several cross country teams from the area ran at the Centerville Big Red Invitational on Tuesday (10/8). Kirksville, Missouri won the boys’ race with Albia second, Oskaloosa third, Knoxville sixth, Pella Christian seventh, Chariton eighth and EBF ninth. Individually, Patrick DeRonde of Oskaloosa finished sixth, with Albia’s Landon Noe seventh.
In the girls’ race, Davis County was first followed by Knoxville and Albia; Oskaloosa was seventh. Individually, Norah Pearson of Knoxville was first, followed by Rylee Dunkin of Twin Cedars. Sherryl Mae Rowe of Albia was fourth and Addi Carter of Oskaloosa was eighth.
On Thursday (10/10)in cross country, Ottumwa’s runners go to Ewing Park in Des Moines for a meet hosted by Des Moines East and Newton runs at Fort Dodge.
