Where does your favorite high school football team stand?  The IHSAA Monday (10/7) released its first RPI rankings of the season.  These rankings will determine which teams, beside the district champions, will qualify for the state football playoffs in November.  Looking at Class 3A and the District 7 teams, Pella is 13^th, Oskaloosa 19^th, Grinnell 29^th, Knoxville at number 31, Newton 37 and South Tama County 50^th.  In Class 4A: Ottumwa is 34^th with a 1-5 record.  Class 2A: defending state champion PCM is ninth, EBF is 35^th and Albia number 51.  In Class 1A, Sigourney-Keota is ranked 15^th–the lowest 6-0 team in that RPI. Pella Christian is 35^th in 1A.  Moving to Class A, Cardinal is 19^th, Pekin 33^rd, North Mahaska number 54 and Lynnville-Sully number 56.  And in 8-man football, Montezuma is 18^th in the RPI, and Twin Cedars 58^th.
