Summer day camps with the Mahaska County Conservation Board host Discover Day Camp on June 28th to the 30th (deadline is June 24th). This event is for ages 5 & younger, and is held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Russell Wildlife Area. The cost for Discover Day Camp is $10.00 per camper. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Kids will participate in indoor and outdoor activities to explore nature and insect life cycles. This camp’s theme will be “The Hungry Caterpillar”. Campers will be asked to bring a t-shirt to decorate for camp.
